ETHICS

ETHICS are a set of moral principles that inform a person or a group’s behavior. Ethics provide rules of a behavor, a guiding philosophy based on what is deemed morally good or bad.

A sense of ethics can be established by setting clear expectations for what is acceptable, modeling ethical behavior, providing corrective feedback and offering the tools that enable people to act ethically.

FBEI encourages family business members to practice ethical leadership and to consider the impact of their organization’s actions.

Our resources are rooted in moral principles that govern a family business’s behavior. For clarification on what constitutes ethical business behavior, we encourage visitors to access our vast library of resources including ethics-related case studies, websites, and articles written by our FBEI staff.
